Oh my word the weeks are soaring by.

Yet again Thursday is upon us and another card to show for Just inklined, I nearly missed it as its been that busy in the shop this morning.

But here is my offering of this week, I just fell for these little guys, and new I wanted to keep this card nice and simple, coloured using just the ice greys, a couple of reds and greens from my spectrum Noirs.

The fantastic digi stamp is from just inklined and the digi stamp robins kissing can be purchased here and it's only £1.00 how could you resist.

Till next time xx

From one old banger to another!

Posted by tracy watkiss at 10:21 7 comments
Good morning it's Thursday again so that can mean only one thing,
It's Just inklined time again!
When I first saw this image it evoked so many memories for me,
when I was a little girl we had a neighbour we called uncle Bert,
both my grandads had died before I was born
so this old gent was like a grandad to me,
and this is the car he had ( or the un pimped version of it lol!)
he loved this car he would wash it every other day,
every spring he would repaint it and varnish the wood. Such lovely memories.
Then when my hubby saw me colouring the image, he said ooh!
An old Morris your old next door neighbour had one of those.
wow that is a cool stamp and would make a great tattoo!!!
The minds of men!!

Well the image is a digiimage available from Just Inklined
(sorry having trouble with linky).
I really wanted to keep this card manly, with no frills or ruffles.
I coloured with spectrum noir pens this time.
Used stamps away washables background papers
distressed with distress ink pads,
cut out 3 circles and embossed them in a
circular motion to make fake brads,
added a die cut tag and hand wrote the sentiment.

Ooh ooh!! More sneaky peaks

Posted by tracy watkiss at 09:30 1 comments

I had so much fun two weeks ago, we were all privileged to get the latest Cd rom and stamps being launched from Mulberry Wood everyday collection by Ian Hallows and Crafters Companion. They are also going to be running a competition, so 3 lucky people could win the cd.

We are allowed to show sneak peaks as of today for you all to see, I have to keep this short and sweet as I am off work at the moment, too long and depressing to explain on here. So without further ado here is card one.

I have used one of the card companions to make this adorable little easel card x

Another sneaky peak for you tomorrow x

Just inklined WHOO hoo!!

Posted by tracy watkiss at 12:01 4 comments
Well I hope this scheduled post works!!!
The other day I was very honoured to be contacted by the girls at Justinklined, informing me that I had been accepted onto their DT, well I was so excited as I love stamping and colouring in, so be involved with a digi/ stamp company is amazing!!!
They have some truly original ideas for images as well as more traditional, you just have to check them out, and they are all so reasonably priced.
The rest of the DT girls are lovely and you can find links to all their blogs down on the left hand side of my blog linky things.
Right on to my very first card.
Well what a decision to make, I firstly had to choose an image. But as its October I could not resist.
I chose to use pumpkins three, (click on the name to purchase it).
I went with the treat giving of the trick or treat variety, maybe inviting someone out to a party, or event on Halloween!
I loved colouring the image and used my polychroma pencils to get a real glow on those scary pumpkin faces!! Then edged the card with distress ink pads. Matted and layered onto various browns and orange papers, gives a real autumnal feel to the card too!
Well I hope you liked my first outing as a DT member, off to get next weeks card ready.
You can check out the just inklined blog here

WHOO HOO!! Pen storage at last

Posted by tracy watkiss at 19:19 4 comments

I am a pen freak I admit it, there it's out there loud and clear.

But I am so excited by this latest product from Crafters Companion, it is the most amazing pen storage system, now obviously it is designed for use with Spectrum Noirs, but it holds, pro markers, distress markers, copics and more - infant any pen upto 5/8" in diameter, how fantastic is that.

Here is how I used to have my pens

Well my species any hoo, my pro markers, copics, distress markers are all in plastic a4 boxes, which I have to rummage through. Not any more, look at this

Yehaa how cool is that?

Each unit holds 12 pens and retails at £5.99 per unit, they stack side by side, tilting or straight, I am definitely going to be getting more of these for all my pens.

The rumour is these are launching on create and craft in one of Leann Chivers shows on Monday, but I have not had that confirmed yet, don't worry though as we will be ordering them in at Just Tracy's Crafts for all our lovely customers soon xxxxx

Happy happy dance xxx

Posted by tracy watkiss at 09:34 4 comments

Well it's the second day of the sneaky peaks and time for another offering.

Today I have used

Flora meaning little seed of flower,

she was just screaming out to be sat in the middle of a die'sire die cut. She is such a cutey, I have coloured her with the spectrum. Our pens and the background is embossed with one of the new embossalicious folders : Damask.

Don't forget to comment on the Crafters Companion news blog to be in with a chance of winning a super prize xxx

Crafters Companion blog hop and Toread sneak peak!!

Posted by tracy watkiss at 08:25 18 comments
Ooh well if you have found me via the Crafters Companion blog hop, you should have arrived here via Rachels blog,  I would like to welcome to my humble abode!!  After reading the rest of my post head on over to Wendys place to check out her gorgeous card!!

Is'nt it exciting! A new launch and a chance to win a prize.

So Welcome to the Crafter's Companion blog hop to celebrate the launch of the Toread papercrafting range! You could win the new Toread CD-ROM, simply by hopping around the Design Team's blogs and being inspired! Pop over to the Crafter's Companion News blog for the full list of Design Team members who are taking part.
The Design team have loved crafting with the new range - there is something for everybody, from little boys and girls to grown up boys and girls, each little character has their own unique little personality and traits, I personally could not choose which was my favourite and what I was going to play with first. The Cd is jam packed with images and embellishments this time. But i am a stamper through and through so had to play with one of those first!
So we're celebrating the launch of this gorgeous new collection on Friday 28th September by giving you a chance to see some sneak peeks and have the chance to win a great prize!
All you need to do to be in with a chance of winning is visit each of the Design Team members blogs. They will each be showing you some of their fabulous Toread creations. Once you've been inspired, simply head back over to the Crafter's Companion News blog and leave a comment on their blog hop post, saying which is your favourite Toread character and why.
One winner will be drawn at random after 10am on Friday 28th September, and will be notified by email.
Well on to my card,
And I have chosen to use
Aurora : Fantastic light
Elf of light
( which just happens to be my maiden name, so would have been rude not to use her)
The thing that draws me to her, is the fact that where all the other little girls are cute looking, to me she looks a little feisty and I am sure she has a fair case of attitude.
Don't forget to visit all the DT team and see all the lovely creations for inspiration. Happy hopping!!

Sneaky peek of the Crafters Companion/ Darice embossing folders

Posted by tracy watkiss at 10:32 2 comments

Ooh these are lovely! And come in a range of 6x6 and 8x8, now how cool is that and what a great size.

The 6x6 fit into the big shot and cuttlebug, the 8x8 fit into the caliber or shh!! The soon to be launched ebosser!

I was fortunate to be allowed to play with the damask folder and looksy what I created, I used a die'sire die and a paintbox poppet sentiment stamp too, along with centura pearl card stock. So a Crafters Companion card through and through, as the Lovely Leann Chivers worked so hard on bringing us these lovely folders.

Ooh before I forget, pop by my blog tomorrow for some exciting news!!!

Well that's it for today as I am under doctors orders to not work for a couple of days so here's my card and bye bye for now xx

Well as I am in work but still feeling rotten, I thought I would just do a quick post today to show you one of the new Darice embossing folders available from Crafters Companion, well I hope they are in stock as the shows with Sheena went so well on Friday. I think they sold out twice over.

So here is my card.

I actually inked up the embossing folder and used white card to create my background. A nice simple card.

Stampin for the weekend challenge

Posted by tracy watkiss at 09:47 3 comments

Hi everyone it is me again, I have not seemed to get much "me" crafting time in this week, but I did manage to colour this cutie in from the new Strawberry Kisses range of stamps launched only this Friday by Crafters Companion. I love this stamp.

I have coloured with my spectrum Noirs again, sorry I have not got the number list on me at the moment, as I am typing on the move again and forgot to bring the list. Doh!!!

I am entering this card into stampin for the weekend challenge as they are starting their Christmas cards early with this challenge. Find it here

Well here is my card

Playing with Sheena Douglas stamps and a sneaky peak of Darice embossing folders

Posted by tracy watkiss at 22:28 1 comments

I was so excited to get some of the new Darice embossing folders in the post the other day, these are going to be on create and Craft soon, with the lovely Sheena Douglas.

This is actually the one that looks like a page from a notebook, but I wanted to make it look like the wooden slats of a cabin, with acetate as a window looking out over a forest sunset, inked with distress inks and then one of Sheena's tree silhouette stamps over the top.

Quite a manly, autumnal looking card me thinks xx

Gold!! Always believe in you soul!!

Posted by tracy watkiss at 09:00 3 comments

Sorry I got distracted there for a minute, where was I?

Oh yes! Gold!!!

That is the theme over at Crafters Companion Challenge blog!!!

I am so excited as this is my first ever Official outing as part of the DT for the challenge blog.

The lovely Louise has chosen Gold as the theme to celebrate our wonderful achievements at this years olympics. I say our as in the same way we use the royal we!

Our athletes did all the hardwork and they were so rewarded for it! As always there is a terrific prize up for grabs, so pop along and join in you have to be in it to win it!!!

Any hoo onto my card, here it is.

I have chosen 3 shades of gold (yellows) coredinations card stock, and die cut one side using one of the die'sire border dies. Put some decorative ribbon down one side and secured to a base card.

I have stamped the little square stamp out of my Morehead set of stamps 3 times, and coloured each one again in graduating golds. The first one using spectrum Noirs, ly1,2&3, the second one was ct1,2&3' the third one, was ct4, gb5&or1. Cut out the little images, mat onto white card then gold mirror card.

Finally I added some gold gems down the side.

Well that's it for now, I wish you all the best of luck, and thank you for stopping by my blog, I really appreciate every visit and comment xx

Christmas challenge sketch and cd roms!

Posted by tracy watkiss at 20:43 0 comments

Well I decided to leave the stamp alone today and get a quick card, done instead - I love to colour but just did not have the time today.

Over at Christmas challenge blog today they had quite a nice sketch, and as I have just got a cd rom rom crafters companion through, the winter paintbox poppet one, I thought why not. I will play with the stamps I received another day!!

Well this is my take, I must admit I find using cd roms a challenge as well, but I really like the images on this one.

Here is my card.

That's all for now

Project/ photo heavy post lol!!

Posted by tracy watkiss at 17:02 3 comments

Today I have had another mammoth card making day!

I was asked to make some samples for German tv from the girls at Crafters Companion so today was spent making samples up.

One of the things I like about working for companies is having to use products I would not normally buy, not that they are not lovely, the quality is always superb, and it makes you push your skills, style and gets you trying out different things. These kits were in no ways the exception, I have loved every minute of working with them and drooled over the designs and general loveliness. It was a bit tricky however with the sentiments, as I have no idea what they were saying so had to google it!!

Any who here is a looksie at what I have made today I will start with my favourite, you cannot see it in the photograph but the little birdies are swinging loose in side. Enjoy!!!!

There are several others but I think you get the idea of what I have been making today.

Well that's it for now

Bye. Xxx
