I just love the theme of this challenge over at Cupcake, I spied for the first time today.

They give you a picture to take inspiration from which this week are these yummy floral cupcakes.

Which happens to fit in lovely with a couple of images from Cuddly Buddly that I just had to put colour too, and the fact that it is my Mums birthday this month and she is getting into a little bit of veg growing.

You also get the chance to win 7 digi images this week as the prize.

So here is my floral inspiration card.

Used Cuddly Buddly Digi images, Copics to colour, Kanban card, Other cardstock for matting layering, adhesive pearls, some punched leaves and decorative flowers.

Hope you likey

Sketch Saturday - Happy Birthday Guys!!

Posted by tracy watkiss at 13:02 4 comments
One of my all time favourite challenge blogs is 3 today - WooHoo!!  Happy Birthday Sketch Saturday

This week they have a fabby sketch - which as usual I have flipped and twisted (hope they don't mind).

The sponsor this week is The Craft Barn and they are offering a £50.00 voucher, How amazing is that.
The DT are offering candy too.

So here is the sketch.
And here is my spin on it!!

It is my mums husbands birthday soon, so had to get to work and the sketch helped with inspiration.

Just Recently I have been trying out Digi images and whilst they will never replace my love for rubber stamps, for a quick fix they are great.

The main image and the Sentiments were both from Cuddly Buddly.
I coloured the main image with copics, but chalked the sky. Distressed with colorbox chalkinks the outline of the oval and the sentiments.

Curled, distressed and stuck with papers from my stash and added a little charm for good measure.

Hope you likey,
I am off to look at the DT work.

Hugs Tracy xxxx

Crafty Catz Challenge

Phew! for a moment there I did not think I was going to be able to post a card this week as I have been that busy.

But late last night  I got an hour to myself and just had to ink up one of my new little stamps from Crafters Companion.

Over at Crafty Catz  the challenge this week is Pink & Green, where there is a prize of a lovely Trimcraft Stamp from Helz Cuppleditch.

Here is my entry.

Used a mixture of papers from my stash, I think they are Making Memories, border punch, ribbon, copics to colour my cute little image, gems and a die cut sentiment, (I swear it looks better in real life - the die cut has gone a shade bluer on the photo, strange).

Paper Sundaes Challenge!!

Posted by tracy watkiss at 17:50 3 comments
Well it is my sunday off this week and I have been very busy!

Not only have I done a quick tutorial for the shop blog, I have taken time out to join in with another challenge.

This one is over at Paper Sundaes, they wanted you to create cards that pop up.

(sorry for some reason, it wont resize)

Now my card has  a triangle bottom that has an acetate pop up through the centre of the card
I dug out one of my Old Stamps from Helz cuppleditch. Used copics to colour. Decorated with SEI papers.

The die cut shape - I had a fizzy moon die cut I knew I would not use so I turned it over and inked the edges of the back and stamped the sentiment, added floral embellishments and job done!

Just Wanted to add that I had a great day out at Malvern Quilt show yesterday, could not believe the amount  of the work that goes into some of these gorgeous quilts, so yep you guessed it - I ended  up bringing home some material to make a lovely bag.
I may get around to showing you that one day.

So I broke out, my distress inks, created a weathered background piece of paper, shadow stamped it with distress inks again, distressed the edges, stitched twine around the edges. added a button.  Stuck down some adhesive mosaic tiles, added a blit of bling and VOILA!!

This card emerged of its own free will.

sometimes, being different and random is good for the sole!

OOPS Sorry for the Delay!!

Posted by tracy watkiss at 09:56 2 comments
I was out last night at the Theatre Royal in Plymouth to see the Show Annie, which was very entertaining and had me tapping my feet and singing along quite nicely.  Was cacooned in a little world all of my own, then this morning I realised I had not done the post for Just Tracys Challenge this month - what makes it worse is that I am one of the owners!!!

Thank god for Jill, who is now controlling the challenge for us, or else we would have forgotten it completely.

Any how, without any further delay over on This month the Challenge is sentiments.

Now the Sentiment has to be the main focus on the card.

So here is mine

I have used one of Just Tracys Crafts Sentiments clear stamps, embossed it with gold, also used:  Tilda papers, acetate, gold mirror card, paper roses and some ribbon.

I look forward to visiting you, and hope you pop on over to see all the other DT works.
